FLAR3

Say it “flare”: a signal that gets seen

Move Freely. Live Fearlessly.

One press tells the people you trust that you need them, and where you are. FLAR3 brings a safety app, wearable devices and a women's community together, so help is closer on every commute, late shift and ride home.

The problemEvery day

Unlock the phone. Find the number. Explain where you are. When something feels wrong, getting help takes too many steps. FLAR3 makes it one.

Help takes too long

Precious seconds go to unlocking, searching and explaining.

Location is shared by hand

A pin dropped in a chat, if you remember, often too late.

Signal drops out

Basements, metros and patchy areas break internet-only apps.

Help numbers are scattered

Helplines and services are hard to find and often out of date.

How SOS worksSix steps, a few seconds

Hard to press by mistake. Clear about what happened.

Step 1

Hold for 3 seconds

In the app or on your paired Gear. A pocket press won't do it.

Step 2

5 seconds to cancel

Pressed by mistake? Tap cancel and nothing is sent.

Step 3

Your location is attached

With how accurate and how recent it is, so nobody is misled.

Step 4

Your people are alerted

By app notification and SMS, whichever gets through right now.

Step 5

112 in one tap

Call emergency services straight from the SOS screen.

Step 6

See who got it

Sent, delivered or failed, for each contact, with automatic retry.

Everyday featuresNot only for emergencies

Useful on ordinary days, ready on the bad ones.

Journey check-ins

Share a trip with an arrival time. Miss it, and your contacts are told.

Share your cab

Send the vehicle number and driver details in one step.

Safe-walk timer

Set a timer for a walk home. If you don't stop it, help is alerted.

Fake call

A realistic incoming call to get you out of an awkward moment.

Help nearby

Closest police stations and 24×7 hospitals, with distance and directions.

Works on weak signal

Alerts fall back to SMS when mobile data won't connect.

Hindi & English

Every core screen in your language, with more languages to follow.

Practice mode

Rehearse SOS safely and check that your contacts really receive it.

Built for real signalWhat works where

Keeps working when the network doesn't.

Every SOS starts on your phone first and syncs after, so an alert never waits for data. Here's what works with no signal, with only your phone, and with a connection.

Works locally

On the device itself

No phone, no network.

  • Audible personal alarm (FLAR3 Sound)
  • Button press detection & haptic/LED confirmation
  • Device battery and status indicator
Needs a smartphone

On the phone

Even without mobile data.

  • SOS trigger, countdown & cancel
  • Bluetooth pairing with Gear accessories
  • GPS position fix (receive-only)
  • Cached contacts, emergency profile & local log
  • Dialling 112 (needs cellular voice, not data)
Needs data or cellular

Through the network

Depends on coverage, permissions and providers.

  • Push alerts & live location to contacts
  • SMS fallback (cellular SMS, where supported)
  • Account sync, backup & delivery status
  • Standalone tracker data (device's own SIM)
  • Community & verified-resource content
A real eveningHow it fits together

Office to home, with FLAR3 along.

A late finish, a cab ride and a moment that doesn't feel right. Here is what FLAR3 does at each step.

01 · Safety

She starts a journey

"Office → Home" with a check-in time, shared with two contacts in FLAR3 Safety.

Journey
02 · Gear

Her Locket is paired

Paired by Bluetooth at setup; the app shows it's connected and ready.

Setup
03 · Emergency

She presses the Locket

A long press sends an SOS trigger to her phone.

SOS
04 · Emergency

The alert goes out

Short cancel window, then location and profile are attached and alerts go out.

SOS
05 · Emergency

Contacts are notified

Push and/or SMS where supported, with delivery shown per contact. One tap to call 112.

SOS
06 · Circle

Help & resources after

Verified local assistance, a private incident note and Circle support.

Support

Steps 3 to 5 need Bluetooth range, battery, permissions and signal. Contacts may not always respond, so FLAR3 always keeps 112 one tap away. You place that call yourself.

Our promisePrivacy

No ads. Ever.

QuestionsFAQ

Good to know.

More on our privacy page, including what FLAR3 can't do.

Can I download FLAR3 today?

Not yet. FLAR3 is being built and will first run as a pilot with 100–300 women. We only open it to everyone once SOS works reliably in real conditions.

Is it free?

Yes. SOS, trusted contacts, location sharing and emergency calling will always be free. Gear devices and some Circle programmes will be paid and optional.

Does FLAR3 call the police for me?

No. The SOS screen puts 112 one tap away, but you place the call. FLAR3 alerts the contacts you chose and shows whether each alert arrived.

Does it work without internet?

Partly. The alert starts on your phone, then tries app notifications and SMS where your phone and network allow. Calling 112 needs mobile signal, not data.

Who can see my location?

Only the contacts you pick, only during an alert or a journey you start, and only for the time you set. Never the public, and never advertisers.

When can I get FLAR3 Gear?

Gear is still in design. Devices go on sale only after testing with women and certification for India. Pilot members get to try them first.
